Jugnuben ORA

Jugnubahen Patel,  ORA Sydney

I am one of the founding members of school organisation. I live in Sydney and have taught at the school from very first day. I hold a Bachelors degree in Science(Chemistry). I am also a qualified Laboratory Technician. My passion for teaching community language has helped me gain the qualifications of Certificate in Language Teaching from University of Sydney. I strongly believe that retaining language and its heritage is highly important for migrant communities.

Krishna Mehta, ORA Sydney

Being one of the founding members of Om Rameshwar Association Inc, the organisation behind ORA Sydney Gujarati Grammar School, I am proud to be associated as Teacher from day 1. I hold Bachelors in Art and a Law degree from India. Recently  I added Certificate in Language Teaching to my qualifications bucket. I believe that language and culture goes hand in hand. In order to retain the cultural heritage, one must learn mother tongue.

Reenaben Barot,  ORA Sydney

Teaching has always been my passion. When I was in school, I used to teach my siblings. Later, I also used to teach my cousins, kids in neighbourhood and friends. And eventually taught my daughter too.

Getting an opportunity to teach kids at ORA Gujarati Grammar School has been a blessing. I feel satisfaction of teaching them new things. I would request parents to encourage children on importance of learning their mother tongue.

Pratikshaben ORA

Pratikshaben Mehta, ORA Sydney

I passed my graduation in B. A  with Economics from Mumbai University. I am from Vallabh Vidyanagar in India and have been in Sydney from last three and half years. I like to do creative activities. I enjoy to teach Gujarati to students because I believe that where we live, but we must learn and use our Native language in our life as well. So many students learn at our school and parents also encourage them.

Teacher

Ami Patel, ORA Brisbane

It is been 17 years since I came to Brisbane in 2003, after completing my Master’s in Environmental Engineering. I was born in Ahmedabad and grew up in Baroda. I always wanted to serve the community and give back. The perfect opportunity came in 2020 at GCQ school for a volunteer teacher. Teaching is not something I got the skills in or have the qualifications, but since joining GCQ school, teaching has become more like a passion. It motivates me when I see kids showing their interest and eagerness to learn the Gujarati language.

Bhumi Dave, ORA Sydney

I am residing in Sydney for more than 15 years. I have done “Masters of Business Administration” and am working as a Banking Professional. The word “Mother Tongue” is sufficient enough to prove its significance in one’s life. As I strongly believe that mother tongue is a gateway to cultural understanding & value system for next generation. Team ORA’s continuous efforts & dedication motivated me to be a part of the team. I really enjoy working with the kids & team at large.

Dhruti Patel Brisbane ORA

Dhruti Patel, ORA Brisbane

I have been living in Brisbane since 2011. I was born and raised in Gandhinagar and studied Master of Computer Application. I strongly believe that mother tongue is a root of any culture so it should be nourished, and we need to preserve for the future generation. Teaching Gujarati language is a noble cause toward my community which is motivated me to involve with Brisbane Gujarati School.

Khyati Thakkar Brisbane ORA

Khyati Thakkar, ORA Brisbane

Ahmedabad is my hometown. I have been living overseas for over 19 years & have been living in Brisbane for 6 years. I was completed BCOM with accountancy. Teaching my mother tongue is done out of a pure passion for the adorable language. I thrive on teaching because language is the most important way of keeping our culture alive in future generations. I am grateful for the platform I am given where others share the same passion.
