Being one of the founding members of Om Rameshwar Association Inc, the organisation behind ORA Sydney Gujarati Grammar School, I am proud to be associated as Teacher from day 1. I hold Bachelors in Art and a Law degree from India. Recently I added Certificate in Language Teaching to my qualifications bucket. I believe that language and culture goes hand in hand. In order to retain the cultural heritage, one must learn mother tongue.
Palak Patel, ORA Sydney
I have joined ORA Gujarati Grammar School from its inception. I have very successful career in commercial world with finance qualifications. However, my passion to give community something back inspired me to join the School. I think once kids know Gujarati language they will break barriers to mix up with their elderly people in India who cannot speak English.

I enjoy to teach Gujarati to students because I believe that where we live, but we must learn and use our Native language in our life as well. So many students learn at our school and parents also encourage them.
Ami Patel, ORA Brisbane
It is been 17 years since I came to Brisbane in 2003, after completing my Master’s in Environmental Engineering. I was born in Ahmedabad and grew up in Baroda. I always wanted to serve the community and give back. The perfect opportunity came in 2020 at GCQ school for a volunteer teacher. Teaching is not something I got the skills in or have the qualifications, but since joining GCQ school, teaching has become more like a passion. It motivates me when I see kids showing their interest and eagerness to learn the Gujarati language.
Deval Patel, ORA Brisbane
